This is a testament to the passionate and hardworking team we have assembled. We know that it takes many people with years of training, experience, and dedication to achieve this high level care. We take your pets’ health very seriously and are proud that you have chosen to entrust them to our care. We want to extend to you our deepest thanks for choosing Beverly Hills Veterinary Associates.”

Jen Brown, DVM

Jen Brown, DVM

After growing up in Troy, Michigan, Jen Brown attended Lake Superior State University, obtaining a bachelor’s degree in biology and chemistry in 1993. At Oklahoma State University, she received honors in soft tissue surgery, graduating with a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1997. In Dallas, Texas, she worked as a mixed animal practitioner (equine, exotics, and zoo animal medicine and surgery) at a general practice, interned at Animal Emergency Hospital in Dallas, and was part of veterinary teams at Dallas World Aquarium, Dallas Zoo, Oklahoma City Zoo, and Arbuckle Wilderness, where she worked with large cats (lions, tigers, cougars, and wildcats).

Dr. Brown returned to Michigan in 2001, working for various clinics in St. Clair Shores, Shelby Township, Lake Orion, and Clarkston. Working as a relief veterinarian allowed her the flexibility to spend time with her two sons, Emerson and Peyton, and her English setter, Buck, while working at emergency clinics in Flint and Clinton Township.

She has been a member of the AVMA, AAZWV, and AAFP while obtaining 50 hours of continuing education per year. Professional interests include cardiology, soft tissue surgery, emergency medicine (trauma) and critical care, and reptile and avian medicine, as well as senior care with emphasis on pain control.

When not at work, Dr. Brown can be found on the ice playing hockey. Being an avid Red Wings fan is only the beginning of her hockey obsession—this year, she plays for Senior Women’s Honeybaked AAA team.

“Beverly Hills Veterinary Associates has been the perfect place to allow me to emphasize the role owners have in the care of their pets. The talented technicians, animal care assistants, receptionists, and veterinarians at Beverly Hills Veterinary Associates, along with great clients, energize me every day. Knowing we are a team that includes owners in the preventive care measures for their pets, and can offer high-quality medical and surgical care, makes this hospital special.”
