Pet-Centered Holiday Movies to Enjoy with Your Furry Loved One
Shorter days, freezing temps, and snowy nights create the perfect excuse to stay in and watch your favorite holiday movie! Your pet would probably agree that a little couch time is in order, so why not make it a communal affair by choosing a film for both the two and four-legged members of the family?
At Beverly Hills Veterinary Associates, movies with animals are our absolute favorite, and we’re thrilled to share our picks for the best pet-centered holiday movies!
Our Favorite Pet-Centered Holiday Movies
Whip up a batch of homemade dog or cat treats, set out a bowl of water, grab your blankets, and let the fun begin with one (or more!) of these heartwarming films:
- Lady and the Tramp – You don’t have to be a kid to enjoy this wonderful Disney classic. While not exactly a holiday movie, the message of love, loyalty, and the bonds of family certainly go with the season.
- The Nine Lives of Christmas – No holiday is complete without at least one Hallmark movie, and this sweet story of a stray cat and his unlikely owner should not be missed.
- The Nightmare Before Christmas – Jack Skellington’s faithful dog Zero doesn’t disappoint in this timeless, family-friendly musical adventure.
- A Dog Named Christmas – Hallmark has done it again with this sweet story about a foster dog named Christmas and the boy whose world is changed because of him.
- The Grinch and The Cat in the Hat Knows a Lot About Christmas – Whether you watch the animated or live action version, The Grinch’s dog Max is at the heart of the story. Speaking of Dr. Seuss, The Cat in the Hat Knows a Lot About Christmas is another beloved classic.
- Beethoven’s Christmas Adventure – If you love the famous, excessively drooling St. Bernard, this wacky holiday adventure is sure to please.
- Christmas with the Kranks – The cat may not be the main character, but she teaches Mr. Krank the true meaning of the season.
What’s your favorite pet-centered holiday movie? We’d love to hear about it the next time you’re in to see us. In the meantime, we wish you and your pet a wonderful holiday season!
