Veterinary Assistant
Beverly Hills Veterinary Associates has an immediate opening for a Veterinary Assistant/kennel position. Full-time or part-time hours can be discussed. The Veterinary Assistant plays a crucial role in providing support for both the Veterinary Technicians and Veterinarians in a variety of animal health care and animal husbandry duties. Schedule will include weekdays, some Saturdays, and evenings. We treat dogs and cats. We are looking for a part time candidate with an outgoing personality, good communication skills, and a professional attitude to join our team. This position requires the animal handling skills and work experience necessary to perform independently and the patience and professional attitude to be part of a high functioning team.

We are a fast paced 4 doctor practice located in the heart of Beverly Hills. Our practice has a strong client base and has been serving the area for over 45 years. We are proud to focus on client service and providing the absolute best in preventative care, diagnostic treatment, and surgery. We offer the latest in diagnostic medicine and treatment, including digital whole body and dental x-rays, an in house laboratory and a fully equipped surgical suite.
Job Responsibilities:
Proper restraint and treatment of animals
Administering medications
Assisting with taking radiographs
Caring for hospitalized animals
Cleaning including sanitizing cages and equipment
Stocking supplies
Communicating with the veterinarian and vet techs
Excellent attendance record
Ability to lift animals up to 50 lbs (with assistance)
Performing other duties as requested
Education and Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent. Experience in a previous veterinary clinical setting is a plus.

Ability to work both independently and as a team player, with dedication to tasks and a positive attitude. Individuals must maintain a professional appearance and positive work ethic, remain calm in emergency situations, follow directions, have good communication skills, be able to work independently with minimal supervision as well as be a team player, be able to lift animals, and uphold the principles and beliefs of the organization at all times.
Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
